About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Pressure Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have advanced welding expertise with proven experience working on high-pressure systems and components. This role requires precision, compliance with strict codes and standards, and the ability to deliver high-quality welds in demanding environments.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Perform pressure welding on pipes, vessels, and structural components in accordance with engineering specifications and industry standards.
* Read, interpret, and fabricate components based on detailed engineering drawings and welding procedures.
* Apply advanced welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Arc, and specialized pressure welding methods) to assemble and repair high-pressure systems.
* Conduct weld tests, inspections, and ensure compliance with ASME, AWS, or relevant pressure vessel codes.
* Operate welding machinery, hand tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
* Maintain accurate records of welding procedures, qualifications, and inspection results.
* Uphold strict safety protocols and maintain workshop cleanliness and compliance standards.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (or equivalent qualification).
* Minimum 3 years' relevant work experience as a qualified pressure welder.
* Proficiency in MIG, TIG, Arc, and pressure welding techniques.
* Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and welding procedure specifications (WPS).
* Demonstrated knowledge of pressure vessel codes and standards (ASME, AWS, or equivalent).
* Proven commitment to workplace safety and quality assurance.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under strict compliance requirements.
