Benefits: Join a supportive team with a great company culture Full-time hours on day shift Competitive hourly rate (depending on experience) A 3 months project-based work commencing immediately Potential for overtime work Job Details Monday to Friday: 6am starts Competitive hourly rate between $55/hr - $70/hr Super Potential for overtime work A 3-months project based work Immediate start for the right person About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Boilermaker/Welders to join our team in Potts Point working on heavy steel fabrication and shipbuilding projects. This role involves welding, fabrication, installation, and repair work while maintaining high safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Perform welding using FCAW (Flux Core) and GTAW (TIG) in line with approved procedures. Fabricate, assemble, and repair steel components and structures. Read and interpret technical drawings, fabrication documents, and work instructions. Carry out marking out, measuring, and basic inspections of fabricated items. Assist with equipment installation, assembly and disassembly. Identify defects and complete inspection/quality reports. Operate fabrication tools including oxy-acetylene, plasma cutters, grinders, and hand tools. Participate in fabrication, pipe fitting and shipbuilding/repair work as required. Maintain high safety and quality standards while working in a team environment. Requirements: Current welding tickets/Trade qualification in Boilermaking/fabrication Proven experience in heavy steel or structural steel fabrication. Experience in shipbuilding, pipe fitting or marine repair highly regarded. Strong skills in FCAW and TIG welding. Competency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and work instructions.
