This role offers the opportunity to work in a diverse, mixed-case environment, focusing on Orthopaedics, Eyes, and Urology, with additional exposure to Dental and Gynaecology procedures.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide expert anaesthetic nursing care during surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
* Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies in compliance with strict infection control protocols.
* Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless surgical operations.
* Monitor patients' conditions during anaesthesia and respond promptly to any changes.
* Maintain accurate documentation and records in line with hospital policies and procedures.
* Support the theatre team in delivering high-quality care across a range of specialties, including Orthopaedics, Eyes, Urology, Dental, and Gynaecology.
Qualifications
* Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Demonstrated experience as an anaesthetic nurse, particularly in Orthopaedics, Eyes, and Urology.
* Additional experience in Dental and Gynaecology procedures is highly desirable.
* Strong understanding of infection control practices and surgical protocols.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
* Prepare patients for anaesthesia and assist the anaesthetist during procedures.
* Ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are ready and functioning before surgeries.
* Monitor patients' vital signs and provide immediate support during anaesthetic administration.
* Maintain a sterile environment in the operating theatre.
* Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth transitions between procedures.
* Provide post‐operative care and support as needed.
