Position Overview:
As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating maintenance and repair activities for our fleet of heavy equipment whilst still playing a hands on role in day to day activities. This challenging yet rewarding role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety.
* FIFO from Perth – 2:1 roster.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians and mechanics, ensuring safe and efficient workshop operations.
* Develop and execute maintenance schedules, prioritise repairs, and coordinate equipment availability.
* Ensure that all maintenance and repair work meets safety standards and quality expectations.
* Manage spare parts inventory, ordering, and restocking to minimize downtime.
* Enforce strict safety protocols and promote a culture of safety within the workshop.
* Provide regular reports on maintenance activities, equipment status, and workshop performance.
* Coach and mentor team members, identifying training needs and opportunities for skill enhancement.
Requirements:
* Current & Valid Driver's Licence (HR Preferred)
* National Police Clearance (within 12 months – validity site dependant)
* Trade qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Technician).
* Proven experience as a Workshop Supervisor in the mining or heavy equipment industry.
* Strong leadership and people management skills.
* Commitment to safety and adherence to industry regulations.
* Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
* Fulltime, Permanent Opportunity (Annual Leave & Personal Leave eligible)
* $5 per hour site bonus, paid fortnightly.
