Reporting to the Energy Analytics Manager we are looking for a Senior Business Analyst acts as a data analysis expert and plays a pivotal role in our IPP Solutions Analytics Team focusing on resolving the existing data challenge and building the data warehouse for PPA contracts.

What you'll do
Leverage a variety of data platforms and analytical tools to provide timely meaningful and consumable information supporting the function
Build a deep contextual and domain knowledge for existing PPA contracts and potential future contract expansion
Verify data quality build scalable tools and communicate findings with the most effective and efficient methods
Define track and report on key energy metrics such as LCOE capacity factors availability and variance against plan or contractual guarantees
Model financial exposure to underperformance including liquidated damages (LDs) and guarantee shortfalls
Partner with internal stakeholders to translate business questions into clear analytical requirements and actionable outputs.
To thrive in this role you'll have the following skills and experience
Tertiary qualification in Economics Data Science or Engineering with experience in data analytics relating to industrial or engineering environments.
Cleaning validating and transforming raw data into structured datasets ready for analysis
Managing data processes by building queries macros and VBA scripts organizing datasets and designing intuitive reports and dashboards
Retrieving and analyzing large data sets using Excel SQL and other data management or BI tools ensuring accuracy consistency and timeliness
Conducting deep-dive and root-cause analyses of anomalies underperformance and unexpected operational outcomes
Well versed in quantitative approaches and methods for extrapolating information to fill data gaps
