Experience and skills needed: AG Trusses is seeking a Physically fit individual that works well with other team members and is willing to learn and apply themselves.
Key Responsibilities:
· Manufacturing frames & trusses to Australian Standards
· Be able to read and interpret design plans and blueprints
· Assembling of wall frame & trusses as per design plan and drawing
· Work with exterior claddings, Roof trusses, Window and door frames
· Installing, Nailing and Cutting timber to size (if required)
· Manual handling
· Operating wood hand tools and power tools, to plane, cut, saw, shape.
· Saw operation
· Light and heavier assembly to suit a range of people
What you will need:
Basic knowledge of timber and building, although full training will be provided
· Certificate III in Carpentry or Equivalent
· Minimum 5 years of work experience
· Capability to work on the tools
· Open communication style
· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
· To act with integrity, be safe and do your best
What you will learn:
Manufacturing of timber house frames and trusses, using saw operations, tools and machinery
* Physical loading of timber for machining
* Successful and safe use of hand tools
* Interpretation of house plans
* Correct measurement of timber to cut to profile
* Quality control and quantity control, ensuring waste management and accuracy
To be successful you will also need the following:
· Have your own reliable transport
· Be physically fit
· Reliable and punctual
· Experience with hand and power tools
· Frame and truss experience preferred
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $76,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
