About The Role
H&R Block's SMSF Administration Division is seeking a Senior SMSF Accountant with strong Class Super experience to manage a portfolio of SMSF clients and deliver high-quality compliance and administration services. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys technical SMSF work, values client relationships, and wants to be part of a collaborative and professional team.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation of SMSF financial statements and annual returns
* End‐to‐end management of SMSF compliance obligations
* Processing and reconciliation of investment transactions within Class Super
* Management of pensions, contributions, rollovers, and benefit payments
* Liaising with auditors and resolving audit queries
* Maintaining accurate and compliant fund records
* Managing client relationships and responding to SMSF‐related queries
* Assisting with fund establishments, pension commencements, and wind‐ups
* Supporting workflow management and process improvement initiatives
* Mentoring and assisting junior team members where appropriate
About You
Essential
* 5+ years' experience in SMSF accounting and compliance
* Strong working knowledge of SMSF legislation and compliance requirements
* Demonstrated experience using Class Super
* Excellent reconciliation and problem‐solving skills
* Strong organisational and time management abilities
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong communication and client service skills
* Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
Desirable
* CA or CPA qualification
* Experience with complex SMSF structures and investments
* Previous experience mentoring junior staff
* Experience within a public practice or specialist SMSF environment
