Job Description
We're currently looking for Brisbane-based freelance Event Operators to join our growing national team.
This hands‐on role combines elements of event operations, photography, and brand ambassador work, making it perfect for someone who enjoys working in dynamic event environments.
Operators will assist with preparing equipment, setting up activations on‐site, engaging with attendees, and ensuring everything runs smoothly throughout the event.
Our Brisbane equipment unit is located in Bowen Hills / Fortitude Valley, and operators will be required to travel to this location to prepare and collect event gear prior to jobs.
Events can range from corporate conferences and brand activations to private functions and festivals, giving you the opportunity to work with exciting brands and cutting‐edge event technology.
Responsibilities
* Collect and prepare event equipment from our Bowen Hills / Fortitude Valley storage unit
* Load and transport equipment to event locations
* Set up event equipment including camera kits, lighting, TVs, printers, branded elements and activation setups
* Communicate with the internal team and on‐site event contacts
* Test photography equipment and ensure high quality outputs where required
* Troubleshoot technical issues during activations
* Engage with event attendees and help facilitate the activation experience
* Manage guest flow and maintain a safe and welcoming environment
* Pack down equipment after events and return gear to storage
Requirements

Ideal candidates will have:
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* The ability to work independently and adapt in fast‐paced environments
* Good organisation skills and attention to detail
* Experience in events, photography, videography, or brand ambassador roles (preferred but not essential)
* Flexibility to work varying hours including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
* A full and valid driver's licence
* Confidence driving vans and transporting event equipment
* The ability to travel to Bowen Hills / Fortitude Valley to prep gear before events
