About The Position
The Aquatic Centre Lifeguard Coordinator will support the Aquatic Centre Manager in all aspects of facility operations of Muswellbrook and Denman Aquatic & Fitness Centre. The position will supervise and manage the Lifeguards and Program Instructors. There is an expectation that the position will involve the need for flexibility in working hours, including weekend work and during the aquatic operating season. There will be a requirement for the position incumbent to be placed on a rotating on call roster.
Key Responsibilities
Day to day operations of the Aquatic Centre's, including but not limited to; assisting with staff training, providing quality customer experience, plant management, reporting, auditing, hazard identification, facility safety and undertake Lifeguard duties as required.
Manage Aquatic Centre Lifeguards and Fitness Instructors, ensuring they are appropriately qualified, inducted and are following program delivery plans.
Conduct regular audits and inspections of the plant and equipment
Undertake maintenance of water facilities including water testing, monitoring and conducting backwashes.
Assist with bookings and any other administrative work when required, including but not limited to; providing input into social medica, engaging in face to face conversations and responding to emails, phone calls and enquiries.
Maintain and promote positive relationships with schools, swimming clubs, other bodies and patrons to promote utilisation of the facility.

About You
Certificate III in Aquatic and Community Recreation and/or equivalent experience
Current Working with Children Check
Current CPR and/or First Aid Certificate
Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate, Pool Plant Operators Certificate, relevant Fitness and Aquatic Centre Program Certificates
Demonstrated experience in supervision of staff in general or at an Aquatic Facility
Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality customer service
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of WHS and Pool Regulations
What We Offer
Permanent, full time, 35 hours per week
Salary from $71,445 to $77,096 per year (depending on qualifications, skills and experience) plus 12% superannuation
