**The opportunity**
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Injury Management and Recovery Specialist to join Bupa on a Permanent Full Time basis based in Sydney/NSW (preferred), however we do offer flexible work from home policy so VIC/QLD would also be considered.
You will be responsible for providing effective and timely Workers Compensation claims management services and strategies to achieve optimal return to work outcomes for Bupa employees in line with best practice injury management principles.

**How will I help?**
Key accountabilities include:
- Actively manage Bupa workers compensation claims (start to end) for all Business Units across the Australian business, with a primarily focus on our NSW portfolio.
- Focus on the early intervention of the claim to reduce the likelihood of becoming long-term claims.
- Communicating, influencing and negotiating with key stakeholders regarding injury response and management strategies (including but not limited to Bupa employees, leaders, HR/ER, wider WHS team, treating health practitioners, insurers, brokers and third party providers)
- Liaise with appropriate stakeholders in order to align processes, reporting and administration where appropriate, with a focus on ongoing development/refinement of processes in line with scheme/business changes.
- Support our leaders and People Partners in guidance/strategy managing our employees with non-work related injuries/health conditions
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with the insurers and third party service providers.
- Provision of education to our leaders regarding early intervention injury response/management processes and ongoing claims management strategy
- dentification of early intervention and claims related initiatives to minimise lost time injuries, contain claims costs and promote timely recovery

**What do I need?**
- Allied health tertiary qualifications as an Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Exercise Physiologist (or similar) with accreditation
- Minimum 2 years' injury management / case management experience in the Workers Compensation industry (employer specific, occupational rehabilitation or insurer specific)
- Sound knowledge of the NSW Workers Compensation Act with demonstrated practical experience (knowledge of additional state legislation desirable)
- Demonstrated ability to achieve clear KPIs in respect to financial, customer service and return to work outcomes
- Key to success will be time management, excellent communication skills and passion for achieving return to work objectives
- Required to be well organised with an ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure to achieve outcomes
- Experience utilising Solv (Injury Management System) and Excel desirable
