On Point Optical is a brand-recent independent practice opening in the heart of Glebe. We're passionate about delivering exceptional eyecare and eyewear, and we're looking for a friendly, motivated Optical Assistant to join our team on a casual basis.
About the Role
- Casual position: Saturdays 9am-1pm (with potential for additional hours).
- Hourly rate: $30.91-$37.10 (commensurate with experience).
- Perfect for a student or someone looking to grow into the optical industry.
What You'll Do
- Provide welcoming, patient focused service at the front of house.
- Assist with eyewear selection and basic dispensing support.
- Contribute to a smooth, professional patient journey.
- Learn and grow in a supportive environment alongside experienced optometrists and dispensers.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in health, retail, or customer service (especially in a technical role) is highly regarded.
- A positive, \"never stop learning\" attitude - open to growth and asking questions.
- Passionate about helping people live their best through quality eyewear and eyecare.
- Friendly, efficient, and a true team player.
- Language skills in Mandarin, Cantonese, or Korean will be a great advantage.
