This is a permanent part-time role on a fixed roster of at least 10 hours per week or more to work with participants living independently in homes across Narara, Bateau Bay and Killarney Vale Central Coast.
About the Opportunity
* Permanent Part-Time with a minimum of 20 hours or more per fortnight across Central Coast (work across Narara, Bateau Bay and Killarney Vale).
* SCHADS Level 2.1 rate starting from $34.58 per hour (depending on experience), with additional penalty rates, salary packaging benefits up to $18,550 per year and superannuation.
* Flexible to be available 7 days a week from 7am to 8pm with 1 weekend a fortnight
Our service operates from 7am to 8pm environment (no awake shifts) - minimum 3 hours per shift. Opportunities to pick up additional shifts up to 76 hours a fortnight.
Working with participants on the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), you will positively engage people with various physical and mental health disabilities, contributing to making a meaningful difference by building their capacity with daily living, confidence in accessing the community and within themselves.
What you will be doing (please refer to the position description):
* Aiding with daily life activities both at home (medication administration, personal care, meal preparation and cleaning, etc) and in the community (budgeting and shopping routines).
* Supporting individuals with their educational and work-related endeavours.
* Facilitating access to various community, social, and recreational activities.
* Assisting with transportation to enable access to daily activities and engagements using a company car.
Who we are looking for:
* Certificate III or studying towards a course in Disability, Allied Health or equivalent
* Previous experience in disability or aged care are desirable but not mandatory.
* NSW Drivers license (can be on Green P Plates)
* Possession of a valid NSW Working with Children Check and NDIS Workers Check is necessary.
* Holding a current First Aid Certificate is also a necessary qualification.
