This role supports the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager in the operational and clinical leadership of the ward/unit, promoting safe, high-quality, person-centred care. This position is advertised as a single role, comprising 0.4 FTE ongoing and 0.6 FTE temporary until 25 December 2026, offering a unique opportunity for stability combined with extended leadership experience. In this role, you will: Provide proficient clinical nursing/midwifery care while supporting day-to-day unit leadership Assist the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager with staffing, rostering, leave management, and workforce planning Support and guide nursing and midwifery staff, students, and less experienced practitioners Promote evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and safe patient outcomes Contribute to service coordination, patient flow, and multidisciplinary collaboration Who Are We Looking For?
