Role Purpose As a Principal OT consultant in NCC Group’s Global OT Consulting and Implementation (C&I) division, your role is pivotal in providing Cyber Security Assurance and Engineering to businesses, aiding them in safeguarding critical systems and information assets.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain trusted client relationships.
Manage and mentor teams, including junior consultants.
Conduct risk assessments, gap analyses and 62443 initial and detailed assessments.
Translate technical findings into actionable roadmaps and executive presentations.
Support sales activities and project delivery.
Assist in expanding global engineering capabilities.
Travel to client sites as required.
Lead workshops with suppliers and operators for regulatory submissions.
Required Qualifications
Experience in assessing and developing cyber security engineering solutions for OT environments including Industrial Control Systems, SCADA and other OT.
Expertise in IT & OT convergence challenges, with focus on the Rail sector – commissioning depots or manufacturing facilities.
Proficiency in risk assessments against NIST, IEC 62443, TS 50701 (IEC 63452) and related frameworks.
Ability to design and implement security controls specific to industrial settings.
Experience managing teams and delivering technical reports and executive presentations.
Strong communication, consulting and presentation skills.
Recognised OT qualification such as GIAC GICSP, 62443 or equivalent.
Delivery of OT projects within critical national infrastructure, preferably in transport subsector.
Knowledge of MITRE Threat Modelling and alignment to IEC/ISA 62443.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
Certifications: CISM, CISSP, CRISC, ISO 27001 L1/LA, CISA.
A degree in a science‑related field or significant work experience in an operational environment.
Proficiency in managing people and building teams.
Willingness to prioritise safety in hazardous operating environments.
