Our client is a dynamic people and product focused business, leading the way within their industry (trade supplies).
A unique growth opportunity has arisen, and they are looking for an Accounts Payable/Finance Officer to join their team on a 12 month fixed term contract assignment and work closely with the Financial Controller, to improve efficiencies and continue to drive strong performance within the Payables and finance space.
**About The Role**
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the Accounts Payable/Finance Officer will be responsible for the accurate and timely recording and payment of the company's local and overseas financial commitments. Other responsibilities include the completion of EOM reporting commitments including analytical and reporting support to the Finance team.
You will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Log incoming invoices and distribute to relevant department managers for approval.
- Monitor return of documents for processing.
- Input supplier invoices and expense claims into General Ledger.
- Administer staff expense management system (Concur), ensuring timely and accurate coding by employees, adherence to company policies and monitoring approval by managers.
- Co-ordinate timely payment of local and overseas commitments within established corporate timeframes.
- Reconcile supplier statements to the A/P ledger on a monthly basis and resolve any disputes.
- Reconcile A/P ledger to the General Ledger on a monthly basis.
- Complete monthly reconciliation of Intercompany loan accounts.
- Liaise closely with Logistics staff on overseas/intercompany shipments and associated charges.
**Skills and Experience**
- Prior experience working as an Accounts Payable/Finance Officer, 3+ years
- Very strong communication skills
- Strong ability to maintain relationships is KEY
- Ability to work autonomously and handle work manually
- High level attention to detail
- A bright and engaging personality, with a strong willingness to learn and the ability to listen and follow company procedures.
