Primary objective
Provide an Urgent Minor Repair service, undertake basic project administration support services and provide high level
general administration assistance and support to the Project Administration Team.
Context statement
The Project Administration team provides project and contract administration services to support the delivery of
infrastructure projects for the NTG; playing an essential role in assisting the Department to meet its targets by providing the
necessary support to manage contract documentation, payments, variations, project updates and reports, and all
administrative aspects of project delivery.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Provide an urgent minor repairs service to client agencies.
2. Process Contractor payments and associated financial tasks.
3. Prepare accurate and timely reports such as monthly repetitive maintenance, and contactor performance.
4. Provide a high level of administrative assistance and support to the Unit to ensure the Unit's strategic objectives are met.
5. Foster a positive workplace culture through exemplary practices and role modelling behaviour.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Knowledge of project, contract administration practices, principles, and repairs and maintenance cycles.
2. Knowledge of project management software programs and databases and other office-based software.
3. A good understanding of technical terminology and language used with the construction of building infrastructure.
4. Sound oral, written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate across all levels with various
stakeholders and to communicate clearly across cultural and professional boundaries.
5. Experience with preparing reports and business documentation.
6. Experience in general office processes including accounts payable with high level attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Experience providing high standards of customer service.
Desirable
1. Experience in a construction or built assets organisation and in project and contract administration
