Key Credit Strategy Role
This senior leadership position is a key component of NAB's Economics and Markets Research team. The successful candidate will join the team in a senior role, leading the Credit Strategy team in delivering timely sectoral and company-specific research.
The role requires a agile and strategic thinker who can synthesise findings, develop compelling presentations, and communicate key recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities
Produce detailed credit research relevant to the Australian corporate bond market
Synthesising findings and developing compelling, structured client presentations that clearly articulate key views and recommendations
sectors covered include Banking, Finance & Insurance, Telcos, Retail, Property
Sectoral analysis will focus on industry drivers and competitive forces, likely trends, threats and opportunities, the impact of the economy and economic policy changes, implications from regulatory changes, ranking of participants and determination of industry benchmarks.
Other sectorial analysis will focus on bond issuance expectations, maturities and bond pricing implications, including with reference to global market developments.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Demonstrated knowledge and depth of banking experience in Credit Strategy in either personal/private/corporate/credit or specialised business, or equivalent qualified experience in a related role
Ability to lead with a customer-obsessed mindset for your team
Solid credit, financial modelling and analytical skills
Able to straddle strategic and operational - but very comfortable rolling sleeves up and 'doing the work'. Provide professional and ethical behaviour in your actions by ensuring compliance with external legislation.
