About the Role
Are you a creative, motivated and detail-driven marketing and communications professional who wants to use your skills for real impact?
Animal Welfare League SA (AWL) is looking for an enthusiastic Marketing and Communications Coordinator to help bring our brand to life, engage our community, and support our mission of connecting pets, people and community.
In this hands-on and highly collaborative role, you'll help deliver AWL's marketing and communications plan by creating engaging content, supporting digital campaigns, and ensuring our brand shines across every touchpoint.
Key Responsibilities
Create engaging, on-brand digital and print content across all AWL platforms.
Capture and source quality photos and videos for marketing use.
Support social media, digital advertising, website updates and EDM campaigns.
Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies on marketing initiatives.
Maintain AWL's digital asset library and ensure brand consistency.
Monitor and respond to community engagement across AWL's digital channels.
Track digital performance and stay updated on industry trends.
What We're Looking For
Two plus (2+) years' experience in a relevant marketing or communications discipline.
Experience working with digital advertising, including the creation, monitoring and optimisation of Meta advertising.
Intermediate level of expertise with the necessary software, including Canva, Microsoft Office suite, digital and social media advertising platforms and website content management systems.
Experience in writing for a range of audiences, including writing articles, digital content and social media posts aimed at promoting and prompting action.
Experience in social media moderation following company guidelines.
Demonstrated ability to be well organised, use initiative and establish priorities, manage workloads and meet deadlines with exceptional attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and cooperatively.
Ability to communicate successfully at all levels with internal and external stakeholders, using sound judgement, sensitivity, creativity and diplomacy.
Skills in photography and videography, including editing of photos and videos in the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite.
SEO knowledge.
Demonstrated track record of success in a not-for-profit marketing or communications role.
