Position Information
Narrabeen Sports High School is a dynamic and inclusive, 7-12 comprehensive, coeducational high school, with an enrolment of 850 students, including 16 Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students). Our significant school upgrade is creating a modern learning environment to support teaching excellence. Our modern TAS facilities include new Timber and STEM/ D&T; rooms to complement the trade training centre. Specific Selection Criteria
- Approval to teach ITW - Industrial Technology Timber and ITX - Technology Mandatory.
- Demonstrated ability to use effective classroom management skills to create and maintain safe and supportive learning environments that foster a culture of high expectations
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty members to develop, implement and evaluate programs that support faculty goals and student growth.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
Applicants seeking either permanent full time or permanent part time employment are encouraged to apply for this position. If the recommended applicant is seeking permanent part time employment (FTE from 0.1 to 0.9 inclusive), they will be offered an appointment at their desired FTE. Applicants on the eligibility list will be offered the remaining FTE but are not obliged to accept. Further information can be found on the merit selection webpage.
Successful applicants may be entitled to a Recruitment Bonus of $20,000 (Conditions Apply). The Recruitment Bonus will be paid on a pro rata basis for permanent part-time teachers and executive staff. The maximum recruitment bonus available for a position is $20,000, including any job share arrangements.
A Relocation Support Payment of $5,000 up to $8,000 will be available for eligible applicants.
