Melbourne-based Business Analyst opportunity with a global financial services firm.
We are seeking an experienced professional to support the delivery of regulatory change projects as part of a risk & compliance project team. The successful candidate will report into the Program Director and work collaboratively with teams in Australia and offshore.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analyse and evaluate operational processes to deploy risk controls and mitigants.
* Liaise with stakeholders, including executive teams and senior leadership, to understand business needs and advise on future state.
* Gather and process data to identify process performance areas.
* Conduct gap analysis and present findings.
* Perform in-depth data analysis, process mapping, and workflow documentation to identify opportunities for standardisation and optimisation.
* Design workflow and process strategies to improve business performance.
* Create and present process reports for approval.
* Oversee the implementation of revised company processes and workflows.
* Monitor the efficiency of updated workflows.
* Partner with Change Manager and Training Managers to assist with the development and delivery of change.
Requirements:
* 5-7 years of experience in risk management within Australia's financial services / APRA-regulated entities, including business partnering roles.
* Tertiary qualification in Business, Law, Finance, Risk or related field.
* Proven experience in process improvement.
* Strong experience working on regulatory compliance driven environments and projects.
* Experience working on compliance focused projects is highly advantageous.
* Commercial acumen and ability to think strategically to identify and mitigate risks and opportunities.
* Excellent analytical, interpretive and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
* Data Analytics (Tableau, PowerBI).
* Exposure to first line/second line/operational roles in Asset Servicing/Fund Administration/Capital Markets/Cash Payments operations is highly regarded.
* Good knowledge of industry trends and regulatory changes.
