CELOTTI WORKFORCE is currently seeking an experienced Paving QC Manager to join a major Defence infrastructure project based in Darwin, NT.
This role will suit a candidate with strong airfield paving quality control experience, ideally within large-scale civil or defence infrastructure environments.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring quality assurance and compliance across airfield paving works, supporting the delivery of critical infrastructure on a major Defence site.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Paving QC Manager will oversee all quality assurance and control processes relating to airfield paving works on a major Defence infrastructure project.
You will play a critical role in ensuring paving activities meet strict engineering specifications, Defence compliance requirements and project quality standards, while supporting safe and efficient construction delivery.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Managing quality assurance and quality control processes across airfield paving operations
* Reviewing and verifying pavement construction methodologies, specifications and testing requirements
* Ensuring compliance with project specifications, engineering standards and Defence protocols
* Coordinating inspection, testing and verification of paving works including documentation and reporting
* Working closely with site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors and project management teams
* Driving quality management systems including ITPs, inspections, test plans and compliance reporting
* Identifying and resolving quality issues within live construction environments
* Supporting risk management and maintaining compliance with Defence, contractual, WHS and environmental requirements
* Acting as a technical interface between project delivery teams, consultants and stakeholders
Our Ideal Candidate:
To be successful in this role you will bring strong experience in airfield paving quality control and high-compliance construction environments.
Key requirements include:
* 8+ years experience in airfield paving quality control or quality management
* Demonstrated experience working on large civil infrastructure or airfield pavement projects
* Strong understanding of pavement construction standards, testing and QA systems
* Experience working within high-compliance environments such as Defence, aviation or major infrastructure
* Proven ability to manage quality processes in live construction environments
* Strong documentation, reporting and communication skills
* Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary construction teams
