Offer description

Ideally located near Oaklands, NSW, this farming family requires a passionate person to join their business as a full-time, skilled mixed farm hand, looking to excel amongst their sheep, cattle and cropping enterprises.

The Employer:

Innesvale Pastoral Company is a growing family farming business in the productive Riverina region of NSW. Their property spans approximately 4,000 hectares and features dryland, irrigated cropping, and livestock. It is conveniently located near Oaklands, 65km from Yarrawonga, 70km from Cobram, and 120km from Albury.

Their passion is to be an efficient, productive, and highly profitable family business. A focus on continual yet sustainable growth, allowing opportunities to reinvest back into infrastructure, land, equipment, and staff.

Striving to provide a safe and pleasant workplace where you work together, Innesvale Pastoral understands and appreciates that farming can be a tough setting, with long, challenging hours requiring physical and mental strength. The happiness and safety of all employees are vital to them, and they continually strive to make the workplace a positive and rewarding experience.

Growing high-yielding dryland and irrigated crops such as wheat, canola, barley, faba beans, vetch, and pastures. A mixed livestock enterprise of self-replacing Merinos and prime lamb production enables them to breed, produce, and sell prime fat lambs and quality wool. Recently, the family have introduced Angus cattle into their enterprise.

The Role

Innesvale Pastoral seeks a full-time employee, where you will be a valued, integral team member. Working closely with the owner, you will be required to work independently at times, within a team environment, and with contractors.

As the successful candidate, you will be experienced in all aspects of broad-acre cropping and livestock; capable of operating an air-seeder, header, boom spray, and utilising GPS and auto steer. You will possess good mechanical knowledge, be skilled at repairs, troubleshoot and diagnose breakdowns and be able to operate and drive a truck.

The Offer

A comfortable 3-bedroom family home with electricity allowance is provided, in conjunction with a work vehicle. A school bus travels within proximity of the farm gate, catering to the needs of a young family. An attractive remuneration package, commensurate with experience and skills, will be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Nestled amongst the Riverina region, an area long renowned as Australia's food bowl, is rich in culinary delights, wineries, and breweries, making weekend getaways or Sunday drives an exciting possibility.

The Ideal Candidate

We seek a knowledgeable individual with livestock, cropping and machinery experience, who has a mature and respectful approach to their professional and personal life. Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess:

- Good communication skills, be honest, have a good work ethic, and have a good sense of humour.
