Your role at St John of God Ballarat Hospital
We are seeking applications from Registered and Enrolled Nurses to join our dedicated Oncology team at Ballarat, on a permanent full-time basis.
As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient care and supervising Graduate Registered Nurses, Nursing Affiliates, and Nurse Students to ensure appropriate and effective nursing interventions.
The Enrolled Nurse, as a member of the nursing team, participates in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Enrolled Nurse performs nursing functions based on their education, knowledge, skills, understanding, and experience in nursing situations.
The Position
Registered Nurse
* Interview and examine the patient, documenting assessment findings.
* Promote an environment of confidence, confidentiality, and respect, and identify actual and potential problems through discussions with patients, families, and relevant others.
* Assess and document the anticipated needs of the patient and family during and after hospitalization.
* Monitor the results of diagnostic procedures and investigations.
* Assist in assessing complex nursing problems and guide Graduate Nurses, Nursing Affiliates, and Nursing Students as needed.
Enrolled Nurse
* Plan and implement nursing care to meet the physical and emotional needs of patients.
* Ensure the environment is attractive, comfortable, and safe.
* Assist and maintain high standards of care by helping patients with activities of daily living and encouraging self-care, all while promoting confidence, confidentiality, and respect.
* Prepare and care for patients receiving specialized treatments for which they are appropriately trained.
Successful applicants will be registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse, demonstrate a commitment to quality patient care, and possess well-developed interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Applicants should have a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in Oncology or Palliative Care, or have an interest in these areas.

The Benefits
* Registered Nurse: $79,353 to $96,175 per annum, plus 12% superannuation
* Enrolled Nurse: $63,087 to $75,324 per annum, plus 12% superannuation
* Permanent full-time, 38 hours per week
