Time left to apply End Date: June 26, 2025 (10 days left to apply)job requisition id JR3595Job TitlePayroll AdministratorJob TitlePayroll AdministratorJob DescriptionAn excellent opportunity is available for a Payroll Administrator to join the People and Culture Departmentat Australia's pre-eminent biomedical research institute.About the PositionReporting to the Senior Payroll Officer, the primary purpose of the Payroll Administrator role is to assist with administering the Institute's fortnightly payroll responsibilities ensuring a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.Key responsibilitiesAssist in the processing of fortnightly payroll in a timely and accurate manner including the input of timesheets, costing, leave, salary packaging, manual payments, termination payments, parental leave, allowances, and deductions.Assist the payroll team in setting up new starters, including inputting super, tax and leave informationAssist in answering enquiries from employees and managers regarding payroll, leave and costing.Back up to the Payroll Officers during absences and during busy periodAssist with the annual processing activitiesSelection Criteria Knowledge and skills Experience in payroll, and the use of a computerised payroll system or other relevant database.Sound numeracy and computer skills, attention to detail and accuracy.Experience using HR systems, e.g. Workday to collect and interpret workforce data.Proven ability to meet deadlines.Ability to identify and investigate issues.Tertiary qualifications in accounting idealExperience with Ascender Pay desirable Personal qualities A positive, proactive approach to work activities.Ability to maintain composure, balance workload and conflicting priorities, and effectively handle difficult situations.Terms of AppointmentThis position is available for 1 yearin a part time capacity (4 days a week). Salary is Professional Services Employee Level 5 ($82,018 - $94,209 pro rata).
