Overview
You will use your respiratory physiotherapy expertise to deliver breathing control training within a landmark randomised clinical trial. You will gain valuable research experience, collaborate with leading clinicians, and work flexibly across major Melbourne hospitals.
What you will deliver
- Provide breathing control training and befriending sessions to trial participants at participating Melbourne hospital sites.
- Conduct standardised clinical and research assessments of participants in line with trial protocols and Good Clinical Practice.
- Plan and complete accurate data collection, documentation and quality checks to support high-quality trial outcomes.
- Coordinate and communicate project activities with the research team to ensure milestones are met on time.
- Contribute to manuscripts, ethics submissions and grant applications related to the project, as desired.
Qualifications
- Hold a bachelor's degree in physiotherapy and postgraduate cardiorespiratory training or equivalent clinical expertise.
- Bring current respiratory physiotherapy experience, ideally within acute, neurology or cardiorespiratory hospital settings.
- Demonstrate strong organisational skills, managing competing tasks, meeting deadlines and following through with minimal supervision.
- Show meticulous attention to detail, with experience in data collection, auditing, quality assurance and record keeping.
- Possess well‐developed interpersonal and communication skills, enabling supportive participant interactions and effective multidisciplinary teamwork.
- Hold or be eligible to obtain a Working with Children Check and Victorian driver licence.
