The Team:

The Short Stay Surgical Unit at the Launceston General Hospital is a dynamic, fast‑paced surgical unit with a high patient turnover. We are a committed team who work closely together to deliver high‑quality patient care and outcomes.


The Role:

The Hospital Aide is key in maintaining patient flow throughout the unit. Responsibilities include ensuring the tidiness and cleanliness of the ward, ordering linen and stock, and carrying out any other duties as required and directed by managers.


You will need:

* Hard‑working, team player with good time‑management skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision
* Well‑developed communication and interpersonal skills
* An understanding of hospital policies and procedures as they apply to the provision of a non-clinical support service

Details of appointment:

Permanent full‑time, shift‑worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you would like to join our team. Hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full‑time, part‑time, and casual vacancies.


Salary:

$57,130 to $62,486 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

* Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022


Salary Packaging:

You'll have access to a salary package and a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year plus other benefits if eligible.
