Caloundra City Private School is seeking a dedicated and skilled IT Systems Administrator to join our dynamic team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing effective technical support to the school through i) creating and maintaining a centralised approach logging and tracking ICT issues and ii) administering all IT systems of the school.
Based in Pelican Waters, QLD, this position plays a crucial part in supporting the school's educational objectives.
What you'll be doing
* Pedagogical support – helping staff to support when and how to utilise technology and support students learning.
* Digital skills support – helping staff and students learn how to select and operate technology and helping staff and students to work towards becoming digitally fluent.
* Technical support and system administration – development and deployment of new ICT solutions, proactive maintenance of existing ICT solutions.
* Resolving technical issues.
* Providing strategic guidance around ICT.
* Administration of the IT systems, Azure, Hyper‑V, Synology backups and Microsoft Exchange Microsoft suite.
What we're looking for
* Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology or a related field.
* Demonstrated knowledge in Active Directory, group policies, DHCP/DNS, Radius, Print Management, IIS, Intune, PBX, Fortigate firewall.
* Preferred knowledge in Jamf, The Alpha School System (TASS), Canvas, SharePoint, SQL and OneDrive.
* At least 3–5 years of hands‑on experience as an IT Systems Administrator or in a similar role.
* Strong knowledge of network administration, server management, and IT security best practices.
* Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills to quickly identify and resolve technical issues.
* Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
