Piping Designer Job Description

The Opportunity
This position involves working on a diverse array of projects across the Energy, Chemicals and Mineral Processing industries.
You'll be involved in the entire design process, from concept to detailed design. Key responsibilities include preparing PFS and detailed design drawings of plant, equipment, services or other structures as directed.
* Prepare PFS and detailed design drawings of plant, equipment, services or other structures as directed.
* Knowledge of piping and structural modelling, plant layout knowledge, and preparation of designs and detail drawings from plans, sketches or other design/specification data.
* Participate in the review of designs and advise on technical drafting difficulties or government compliance requirements as appropriate.
* Contribute to periodic reporting, upkeep of drawing list and percentage complete status, and participate in the development and continuous improvement of the Quality management process and system.
Qualifications, Skills And Experience:
* Associate Diploma in CAD / Associate Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in design/consultancy/operational environment.
* Autodesk base products and Bentley suite advantageous.
* Mining and/or Metals industry experience.
* Skills in MS Office suite.
