Senior project communication officer

Canberra
Palliative Care Australia
Posted: 6 April
Offer description

PCA has a rewarding opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Senior Project Communication Officer to join the organisation and be part of the team in Deakin, Canberra, ACT. This is a full-time position, but part time hours would be considered for the right candidate.

About Palliative Care Australia

Palliative Care Australia (PCA) is the national peak body for palliative and end of life care. PCA represents all those who work towards high quality palliative care for all Australians. Working closely with consumers, our Member Organisations, national health stakeholders, and the palliative care workforce, we aim to improve access to, and promote the need for, palliative and end of life care. We believe quality care occurs when strong networks exist between specialist palliative care providers, other specialist health sectors, care providers and the community.

About the Opportunity

The Senior Project Communication Officer plays a key role in implementing Palliative Care Australia's project and partner marketing and communications activity – helping to craft clear, engaging, and accessible content for audiences across the health, aged care and community services sectors, and for people wanting to understand more about palliative care and how to support people who need it.

This hands-on role involves creating, scheduling and publishing project and partner content in PCA's owned channels (social media, e-newsletters, website) and creating campaign assets that can be shared in third party channels. The Senior Project Communication Officer edits and refines key messages, develops content, coordinates graphic design (alongside some hands-on design work), and monitors and reports on PCA project and partner campaign and communication activity. The position also supports national campaigns and communication activities that amplify PCA's voice and strengthen its connection with communities and the wider health sector.

If you're a creative communicator with a passion for making a positive impact through storytelling and engagement, we'd love to hear from you.
