Telestroke Clinical Nurse Consultant
This pivotal role involves providing expert clinical advice and consultancy to TSS referring sites, leading practice development initiatives across NSW, and collaborating with the Prince of Wales Hospital Stroke Department and NSW Telestroke Working Group.
The ideal candidate will possess advanced communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of implementing changes in clinical practice through evidence-based research. They will also demonstrate leadership in strategic and clinical service planning, expertise in managing organisational and cultural change, and advanced skills in clinical teaching and competency in using contemporary information systems.
* Provide expert clinical advice and consultancy services to TSS referring sites
* Lead practice development initiatives across NSW
* Collaborate with the Prince of Wales Hospital Stroke Department and NSW Telestroke Working Group
The successful candidate will work closely with the TSS host site team, supporting the embedding of telehealth technology and promoting the advancement of clinical practice. They will also play a key role in the evaluation of the NSW Telestroke Service, coordinating case reviews and clinical follow-up to assess patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Initiate and lead practice development initiatives across NSW
* Work closely with the TSS host site team to embed telehealth technology
* Collaborate with academic colleagues to influence future directions of nursing practice in stroke and telestroke
Selection Criteria:
* Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse/Midwife
* Minimum seven years full-time equivalent post-qualification experience
* Demonstrated advanced communication and interpersonal skills
Working Environment:
This position is based at Prince of Wales Hospital and requires travel to TSS referring sites across NSW.
