Project Manager – Landscape Construction

Location: Melbourne (Flexible / Hybrid)

Employment Type: Full-time

Play a key role delivering high-end, architecturally designed residential landscapes, with a clear pathway for career growth within a growing business.

-----------------------------------

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager / Project Coordinator to join our growing landscape construction business. This is a pivotal role responsible for coordinating all aspects of our residential landscape projects – from pre-construction planning through to on-site delivery and completion.

This role has been intentionally designed to suit candidates at different stages of their career and offers clear opportunities for progression over time. Whether you are new to the landscaping industry with transferable project management experience, an experienced project manager looking to take the next step once established in the role, or a graduate seeking to build a long-term career in construction and project delivery, we encourage you to apply.

This is a client-facing position suited to someone who thrives on organisation, clear communication, and delivering exceptional outcomes. You will work closely with management, our Head Estimator, suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure every project is delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably.

You will also play a key role during the pre-construction phase, working alongside the Head Estimator to review and confirm tenders, scopes, and budgets before projects are handed over to construction.

This position offers flexibility, with regular site visits across Melbourne.

-----------------------------------

Key Responsibilities

* Coordinate all aspects of residential landscape construction projects from planning through to completion
* Act as the primary point of contact for clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
* Collaborate with the Head Estimator to review tenders, confirm scopes, and ensure accurate costings prior to project commencement
* Assist with project scheduling, procurement, and resource management
* Monitor project budgets, timelines, variations, and overall profitability
* Ensure on-site OHS compliance and safe work practices are maintained
* Prepare and manage project documentation and progress reporting
* Use job management software to track project status, communication, and variations
* Build strong relationships with all project stakeholders and contribute positively to team culture
-----------------------------------

About You

You are organised, proactive, and confident managing multiple stakeholders. You take pride in your work, communicate clearly, and enjoy being part of a collaborative and supportive team while taking ownership of your responsibilities.

You are also someone who is motivated by growth and development and is keen to build on your skills over time, with support from an experienced leadership and estimating team.

You will bring:

* Experience in project coordination or management (landscape construction experience preferred, but not essential for the right candidate)
* Strong understanding of construction processes and project sequencing
* Excellent communication and client relationship skills
* Strong organisational and time management capabilities
* Solid computer skills and experience with job management or project software
* Working knowledge of OHS requirements in a construction environment
* Current driver's licence and ability to travel to sites across Melbourne

This role may also suit a graduate, a former landscape business owner, or a senior foreperson / leading hand looking to transition into a project management role.

-----------------------------------

Why Join Us?

* Be part of a close-knit, supportive, and growing family business
* Enjoy a flexible work arrangement with work-from-home options and site travel as required
* Step into a role with clear career progression and increasing responsibility over time
* Work on high-end, architecturally designed residential landscape projects
* Long-term career development and progression opportunities within a growing organisation
