Support clients' return to work and life after injury as a Graduate Physiotherapist in APM's two-year program, with diverse clinical and professional development opportunities.
Your role
Responsibilities
* Providing initial rehabilitation assessment and rehabilitation planning to assist clients with physical injuries and secondary psychosocial barriers to participate in Graduated Return to Work Programs
* Providing case management for clients with return to same employment or transition to new employment
* Providing services within job description and clinical scope of practice including, but not limited to: worksite assessments, functional capacity evaluations, home, office, and vehicle ergonomic assessments
* Delivering injury prevention training relevant for customer need
* Completing work task analyses and preparing job dictionaries
* Coordinating a holistic treatment approach for the client's condition, regularly liaising with treating practitioners to monitor progress and adjust rehabilitation plans as needed
* In conjunction with the treating medical team, assessing and making recommendations regarding clients' physical health and wellbeing, and medical conditions on ability to work
* Writing detailed case notes and reports
* Working with veterans to support their psychosocial, medical and vocational goals
* Working across multiple state- and national-based insurance schemes, and with self-insured employers
* Being trained to deliver the Virtual Reality Empowered Pain program for clients with persistent pain presentations
