Our Surgical A Ward is expanding, and we’re inviting passionate Registered Nurses to join a team known for advanced clinical capability, robust team culture, and unwavering commitment to patient experience.
About the Surgical A Ward
This 36-bed unit specialises in:
- Advanced general surgery
- Metabolic and bariatric surgery
As a step-down unit from ICU, we manage high-acuity patients with complex post-operative needs, offering nurses the opportunity to deepen their clinical expertise in a supportive and well-resourced environment.
We’re proud of our strong foundation in stoma care and wound management, and we actively invest in our team through structured onboarding, ongoing education, and recognition of achievements.
You’ll be supported by a dedicated leadership team including:
- Clinical Nurse Consultant
- Clinical Nurse Educator
- Clinical Nurse Specialists

About the Role
We’re seeking Registered Nurses with 1–2 years of surgical experience who are ready to grow, lead, and make a difference.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care
- Support patients through their recovery period
- Contribute to quality improvement and safety initiatives
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to optimise outcomes
- Act as a role model for safe, compassionate practice
What you’ll bring
- 1–2 years of surgical nursing experience
- Valid Working with Children Check
- Specialty experience in general adult surgery (Bariatrics, Colorectal, Plastics)
- Commitment to quality and safety
- Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF – NSW Nurses and Midwives’ – Enterprise Agreement 2020 – 2024, a salary ranging from $35.46 - $49.79 per hour.
