The Opportunity
As a Lead Mechanical Engineer at Sedgman Prudentia, you will lead mechanical engineering scopes for minerals processing and mining projects ensuring technical compliance with client standards.
You will provide mechanical design and analysis for piping systems, tanks, vessels, pressure equipment, materials handling, and rotating equipment including calculation, risk assessments, and failure investigations.
Key responsibilities include selecting mechanical equipment aligning with client/industry requirements, mentoring and leading engineering teams, overseeing project delivery within scope, budget, and schedule.
Skills and Experience
Tertiary degree in Mechanical Engineering with CPEng/RPEng and RPEQ qualification is required. A minimum of 10 years of industry experience is necessary, including project delivery and work on multi-discipline projects.
Demonstrated experience in mechanical and piping engineering is essential, along with the ability to lead teams, mentor engineers, and engage stakeholders effectively.
