The Executive Officer will be a valued member of the General Counsel team, providing high level administrative and governance support to the AWH Board and Board Committees. This role works closely with the AWH Board Chairperson and Board Directors to ensure the Board functions efficiently and effectively to meet its fiduciary responsibilities and accountabilities, as outlined by the Minister of Health for the Victorian Department of Health (DoH) and relevant legislation applicable to Victorian Public Health Services. This pivotal role will make a meaningful contribution to leading a large regional health service committed to delivering high quality care in a fast‑paced, high‑profile environment.
Qualifications
* Demonstrated experience in supporting Boards, Chief Executive or Managing Director roles.
* Qualification in administration, governance or a related field.
* Strong appreciation of organisational governance frameworks, executive communication standards and the role governance plays in effective decision making and risk management.
* Highly developed interpersonal skills including working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders and strong professional communication skills.
