Key Role: Company Secretary & Governance Advisor
This is a vital position in a leading insurance, financial services and technology organisation.
About the Job:
* Assist with ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, promoting efficiency between the board and management.
* Maintain corporate records and policies adhering to ASIC, APRA and other regulations.
* Manage daily activities related to director elections, annual general meetings, and annual reporting, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders.
* Coordinate board and board committee meetings.
Responsibilities Overview:
* Deliver company secretarial and governance duties.
* Team management and/or mentoring experience an advantage.
* Familiarity with regulatory and legal requirements advantageous.
* Attending board and board committee meetings and preparation of high quality minutes essential.
* Governance Institute of Australia qualifications beneficial.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
The Ideal Candidate:
This is a mid-senior level full-time position within the financial services and insurance industry.
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years experience in delivering company secretarial and governance duties.
* Effective team leadership or mentoring skills.
* Familiarity with ASIC, APRA, ACNC and other relevant regulations.
* Prior experience attending board and board committee meetings.
* High-quality minute taking skills.
* Degree from the Governance Institute of Australia preferred.
* Superb written and oral communication abilities.
