A motivated Payroll Officer is needed for an exciting opportunity on the Gold Coast

Due to their expansion, they are seeking a passionate Payroll and HR Officer to join their team based in Northern Gold Coast. This position will require a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills and the ability to work in a high-volume environment.
**Your new role**
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for the full function of Payroll, in a high-volume environment. Your primary focus will be ensuring timely and accurate processing of employee payroll and administrative support to the Human Resources Department. Processing payroll for approximately 400 employees, you will need to respond to payroll queries, along with responsibility for calculating pay increases, back pays and processing leave reconciliations. Other duties of the role could include, but not limited too;
- To collate timesheets in preparation for payroll processing
- New starter induction and paperwork for payroll
- Answering payroll queries
- Assist with training courses and ensure compliance
- Process approved overtime
- Assist with recruitment processes
- Monthly reporting
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be considered for this role, you will have proven experience operating as a Payroll Officer or Senior Payroll Officer within a fast-paced, high volume organisation. You will need to be motivated, have an excellent understanding of current legislation, good computer literacy and numerical data processing speed and accuracy. Knowledge of Sage Micropay would be highly desirable and advanced Excel skills including Pivot tables. You will be capable with developed communication skills, interpersonal skills, a great attitude, and strong work ethic.
