The VCAA is a statutory body responsible to the Victorian Minister for Education, serving both government and non-government schools. We provide high quality curriculum, assessment and reporting for all Victorian students birth to 18 years. An exciting opportunity exists to join the Curriculum Division in the F-10 Unit for an ongoing full-time position. * Salary: $109,730 - $132,764 (Plus Superannuation of 11.5%) * Ongoing role * Usual hours of work: Full time (flexible work conditions maybe available) * Usual work location: East Melbourne Role purpose The Senior Strategy Advisor will play a play a key role in supporting the revision, familiarisation and implementation of the Victorian Curriculum F–10 Version 2.0 and leading the delivery of business as usual (BAU) activities for the F–10 Unit. The F–10 unit is a small, high-performing team within a busy, dynamic work environment. The ability to think flexibly and strategically, adapt to changing priorities and autonomously manage tasks to completion is essential. In this role, you will use your knowledge and experience in curriculum design and implementation and/or your understanding of educational policy and context to lead strategic thinking and planning for the F–10 Unit, leading to tangible actions and outcomes for the team. Your ability to identify and mitigate risks and think critically from multiple perspectives to solve problems will support the team to deliver high quality solutions and outcomes. Your ability to navigate complex issues and make decisions that impact staff and stakeholders both within and beyond your immediate work area will be utilised in this role. Your capacity for collaboration, driving continuous improvement, and cultivating genuine relationships will be pivotal for your success. You will be an effective people manager who fosters collaborative team development, builds a safe and welcoming work environment and leads with integrity. Your strong writing skills will be utilised in the preparation of reports and papers for project governance boards, development of presentations for executives and internal and external stakeholders and writing briefings, correspondence and communications. You will lead and/or contribute to documents that require strategic thinking and collaboration across teams, divisions or departments, such as budget bids, policy and PAEC responses. Experience and qualifications Preferred: Bachelor degree or higher in education Experience in: Strategic planning, policy development, project management.
