Job Title: CNC Machinist
About Storemasta is a leading Australian manufacturer specializing in compliant dangerous goods storage solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate CNC press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal into specific shapes.
* Select appropriate tooling based on material types and thickness.
* Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
* Inspect finished parts to ensure that the dimensional tolerances and quality standards are met.
* Perform regular maintenance on press brake machines and tools.
* Perform precision machining tasks, such as drilling, grooving, cutting, turning, facing and thread chasing.
* Load and unload material onto the press break machine and ensure proper alignment.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Minimum of a high school diploma or GED; Trade qualifications in Machining is highly desirable.
* At least 2 years of experience working as a CNC machine operator, Metal fabrication, Machining or any related field.
* Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints and technical specifications.
* Meticulous and detail oriented with good physical condition to handle materials and operate machinery.
* Experience with manual lathe machining, familiarity with other CNC machinery is highly desirable.
