Job Description
We have multiple opportunities for experienced Multi Combination Drivers for our busy depot in Burnie.
These positions carry a responsibility for all aspects of Road Transport Rules and Regulations which should be conducted in a competent, safe and law abiding manner with due consideration to an efficient and service-oriented environment. Completing any local cartage job as delegated by the supervisor can also be required, as well assisting as a forklift operator when necessary.
The majority of roster will be day & night shift work that includes some weekends.
Desired Skills and Experience
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Minimum Year 10 Secondary Education (Year 12 preferred)
* Class MC vehicle licence essential.
* Forklift Licence
* MSIC and TAS Ports Inducted (preferred but not essential)
* Proven delivery and freight experience
* Have a focus to always work safely
* Ability to work without direct supervision
* Physically fit and willing to do manual handling
* Basic knowledge of computer systems
* Numeracy and literacy Skills
* Strong customer service focus
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal
* Full knowledge of federal and state road regulations including load restraint and fatigue management
