Job Title: Enrolled Nurse
About the Role
The Department of Health, Community, Mental Health & Wellbeing is seeking an Enrolled Nurse to join their team at the Wilfred Lopes Centre in Hobart.
This is a permanent full-time shift worker position working 76 hours per fortnight. The successful candidate will provide direct patient/client centred nursing care to assigned patients/clients under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.
About You
To be successful in this role you will need:
* A sound knowledge of the principles of nursing care, procedures and practices.
* The ability to practice in a manner that respects the right of individuals and groups.
* Effective written and oral communication skills.
* Assessment, problem solving and organisational skills.
* The ability to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
* Knowledge of legislation, policies and procedures pertaining to enrolled nursing practice.
* The ability to participate in quality improvement and research activities and support innovative improvements in the practice setting.
About the Team
The Wilfred Lopes Centre provides care and treatment for people with mental health issues who are involved with the criminal system. We manage behaviours associated with behavioural disturbance, such as verbal and physical aggression and self-harm and as such, all staff are provided training in de-escalation and physical restraint.

* A salary ranging from $68,913 to $75,902 per annum (pro rata).
