Job Title: Maintenance Technician
This is a hands-on role that operates autonomously to ensure compliance with legislative standards, accreditation requirements and company policies.
The successful candidate will be responsible for proactive management of operational and maintenance requirements, developing and managing facility maintenance schedules, monitoring and managing supplies and spare parts including procurement, implementing preventative maintenance and safety inspection programs, coordinating contractors and supervising minor works and maintenance projects, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements for essential services, controlling expenditure within agreed budgets and maintaining accurate and up-to-date maintenance records.
About The Role
* Developing and managing facility maintenance schedules;
* Monitoring and managing supplies and spare parts, including procurement;
* Implementing preventative maintenance and safety inspection programs;
* Coordinating contractors and supervising minor works and maintenance projects;
* Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements for essential services;
* Controlling expenditure within agreed limits;
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date maintenance records;
About You
To succeed in this role you will demonstrate:
* Experience in a Maintenance or Facilities Technician role (hospital experience highly regarded);
* Relevant trade qualifications and hands-on experience in facilities/building services;
* A current driver's licence (mandatory);
* A General Construction Safety Card (White/Blue Card);
* Strong customer service, communication and computer literacy skills;
* The ability to work independently, prioritise workloads and manage competing demands;
* Sound knowledge of WH&S requirements, accreditation/certification processes and relevant Australian Standards;
* Familiarity with electrical, fire, mechanical and hydraulic systems (knowledge of the AUSHFG Guideline desirable);
* A commitment to continuous improvement and safe work practices.
