We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller, part-time 3-4 days a week, to join our senior management team. This critical role will lead a finance team and oversee all aspects of the finance function.
This position plays a key role in supporting the company's strategic direction. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, proactive, and capable of working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure operational excellence and project success.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Financial Leadership
o Develop financial strategies that align with business objectives and support sustainable growth.
o Lead the finance function across daily operations, budgeting, cash flow management, financial reporting, taxation, audit, compliance, and insurance.
o Identify and mitigate business risks, ensuring ongoing compliance and process improvement.
o Promote operational efficiency through internal controls and financial systems.
o Lead and develop a high-performing finance team.
o Promote a culture of accountability and collaboration within the finance function.
2. Business Partnering
o Provide financial guidance to support strategic decision-making.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational performance.
3. Stakeholder Engagement
o Build professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
o Support audits and regulatory engagements.
Qualifications and Experience
* Fully qualified accountant (CA/CPA) with 8+ years of experience in a senior financial leadership role.
* Proven experience managing the finance function in a complex environment.
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Able to lead and develop a small finance team.
* Excellent commercial acumen and understanding of business operations.
* Experience in process improvement and financial systems implementation.
Technical Skills
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word.
* ERP system experience.
* Accounting platform experience, including Xero and QuickBooks Online.
