The Service Department plays a vital role in supporting customers across Australia, ensuring the smooth operation of machinery through installation, commissioning, servicing, and ongoing maintenance. Additionally, it provides training for operators, production staff, and maintenance personnel.
Main Responsibilities:
* Carry out scheduled services on MULTIVAC Australia-supplied equipment installed at customer sites as needed;
* Travel to customer locations to diagnose and resolve technical issues causing equipment breakdowns;
* Investigate and proactively address problems where machines are not functioning at optimal levels;
* Perform machine services and rebuilds in the MULTIVAC workshop as required;
* Provide technical phone support to customers when on-site attendance is not feasible;
* Liaise with management on service-related matters within Australia;
* Attend machine-specific training courses as directed;
* Adhere to local safety guidelines and identify/ control risks while working on customer sites and MULTIVAC offices.
Relationships and Authority:
* Reports directly to State Service Manager
Required Skills:
* Possession of a current Electrician's License OR be a trade-qualified Fitter/Mechanic with a Restricted Electrical License;
* Experience in the food industry packaging or processing equipment is advantageous;
* Mandatory electronics skills and knowledge of PLC-driven processes;
* Advantageous advanced knowledge of motor, servomotor, and drive technology;
* Able to interpret electrical and pneumatic drawings to a component level;
* Willingness to work weekends, travel at short notice, and adapt to flexible hours as required;
* Possession of a Current Driver's License; and
* A strong work ethic and excellent communication skills.
