Our Service:
The headspace Early Psychosis program provides specialised assessment, early intervention, assertive outreach, and case management for young people aged 12-25 in the South East Queensland region who are at risk of, or experiencing, a first episode of psychosis.
Main Responsibilities:
* Deliver high quality evidence based clinical care as a member of the multidisciplinary team
* Coordinate comprehensive, specialist and early intervention mental health care and provide specific psychological and psychosocial interventions tailored to meet the individual needs of young people aged 12-25 years who are referred to the headspace Early Psychosis service within a community mental health setting, in line with EPPIC/ AEPP guidelines.
* Knowledge & understanding of the theory underpinning evidence-based interventions & clinical practice as well as demonstrated excellence in the practical application of such, in the areas of mental health and alcohol and drug use.
Key Requirements:
* General AHPRA registration as a General/Clinical Psychologist, Occupational Therapist or Mental Health Nurse, OR AASW eligibility/registration as a Social Worker.
* No experience necessary working with young people experiencing early psychosis, as we provide on the job training
* Highly developed communication (including written) and interpersonal skills
* The ability to engage with people, advocate on their behalf and establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, clients, families & friends and stakeholders.
* Experience in the use of electronic client/customer management systems, ability to use a desktop computer, and experience with Microsoft Office applications
* Eligible to apply/currently hold a Blue Card
* NDIS worker screening clearance
