Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and hands-on Production Line Engineer / Setter to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our manufacturing lines. This role is critical to our production process, focusing on the setup, maintenance, and monitoring of our filling, capping, coding, and labelling machinery. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a strong mechanical aptitude and a keen eye for detail, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Line Setup & Operation:
· Set up, calibrate, and adjust production machinery, including:
o Liquid and cream
filling machines
o High speed
tube machines
o Capping machines
(screw caps, snap caps, pumps)
o Batch coders
and inkjet printers
o Labelling machines
(front/back/wrap-around labels)
· Conduct start-up checks and fine-tune machines for each production run to meet specified parameters.
· Monitor line performance during operation, making real-time adjustments to optimise efficiency and output.
2. Cleaning, Servicing & Maintenance:
· Perform thorough cleaning of all equipment in accordance with company hygiene and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards.
· Execute routine and preventative maintenance tasks to minimise machine downtime.
· Perform basic troubleshooting and minor repairs on production equipment.
· Collaborate with the maintenance team on more complex mechanical issues.
3. Quality & Safety Monitoring:
· Continuously monitor the production line for any quality deviations, such as incorrect fill levels, faulty seals, or misaligned labels.
· Adhere to and enforce all workplace health and safety (WHS) protocols and procedures.
· Conduct regular quality checks and maintain accurate production and maintenance logs.
· Identify and report any potential safety hazards or quality concerns immediately.
