ABOUT THE POSITION
Job Title: Building Construction Supervisor (Building Associate)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Planning and Coordination
* Oversee planning and coordination of building construction projects to ensure compliance with design specifications, timelines, and budgets.
* Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to develop schedules, allocate resources, and coordinate subcontractors.
Technical Design
* Utilise software & MS Excel to create detailed pile height calculations for solar farm projects.
* Review schematic diagrams and technical specifications for the assembly and installation of mechanical systems.
Installation and Assembly
* Oversee and participate in the installation of solar panels, racking systems, and mechanical components.
* Conduct on-site adjustments and modifications to equipment to optimise energy production.
Quality Assurance and Testing
* Perform routine mechanical inspections and maintenance to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency.
* Conduct system performance tests post-installation to validate design specifications and functional requirements.
Troubleshooting and Problem Solving
* Identify and resolve mechanical issues during the construction and operational phases of solar farm projects.
* Provide technical support and troubleshooting guidance to construction teams and operators.
Documentation and Reporting
* Maintain accurate records of design data, project progress, and technical reports.
* Prepare documentation for system configurations, operations, and maintenance procedures.
Safety Compliance
* Ensure all mechanical operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations and environmental policies.
* Participate in safety audits and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks with clients.
Continuous Improvement
* Recommend improvements in processes, design, and operations based on field observations and technical feedback.
* Stay updated with the latest industry technologies and methodologies to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
Team Collaboration and Communication
* Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met.
* Communicate technical concepts and project updates effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Training and Development
* Train new technicians on proper installation techniques and safety protocols.
* Participate in workshops and continuing education to advance technical skills and industry knowledge.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
* MUST have more than 3 Years Experience in Solar Farm Construction working on projects ranging from 5MW to 150MW.
* MUST be experienced in piling, mechanical build, load testing, and surveying;
* MUST have proven experience in mechanical systems installation, maintenance, and repair, particularly in renewable energy applications;
* MUST hold a Telehandler Ticket;
* MUST be First Aid Qualified;
* Hold a Piling VOC (preferred); and
* Hold an OSHA Safety Certification (a plus).
OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED
* Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills;
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment; and
* Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety.
