Overview
Open Access College plays an important and critical role in addressing educational disadvantage for South Australian students who are not able to attend school in person or are unable to access aspects of the full curriculum at their local school. The College is a leader in distance education and operates from campuses located in Adelaide and Port Augusta. The College caters for Reception to Year 12 students, providing dynamic and innovative teaching and learning programmes.
Position
This is a TEMPORARY POSITION 27/04/2026 to 19/07/2026, at Open Access College, Marden campus.
Hours per week: 37.5 hrs p/week (leave conditions).
Role Overview
The Business Leader is accountable to the Principal for the effective leadership and management of the school's administrative, physical, technological and financial resources. This includes the delivery of high‑quality services across the college to internal and external stakeholders, driving innovative improvements to school processes, conducting effective business analysis, providing timely strategic advice to the Principal, and ensuring the effective management, organisation and performance of all non‑teaching staff through robust HR and operational systems.
Qualifications & Responsibilities
* Successful communication, interpersonal, management and negotiation skills to work effectively with a diverse range of personnel including the Principal, staff, students, families, Governing Council members and service providers to achieve desired operational outcomes.
* Success in delivering high-quality services to internal and external stakeholders while managing complex organisational and human resources programmes and facilities projects.
* Demonstrated experience in the preparation of budget submissions, business cases, financial analysis and reporting, and strategic financial planning.
