About the role .

Our Maintenance team in Smithton is looking for an experienced & passionate Maintenance Manager to provide strategic leadership to the onsite maintenance team to plan and implement the global maintenance strategy. You will cover day-to-day maintenance engineering issues, defect elimination, risk management and life cycle asset management aspects of reliability engineering best practices.

This role is an integral member of a cross functional site leadership team and will see you contribute to the implementation of capital projects.

* Support and promote continuous improvement across the organisation
* Ensure plant and equipment comply with standards and legislation
* Contribute to and support implementation of McCain Foods Safety Plans
* Define annual maintenance needs for budget planning
* Ensure equipment and operations meet environmental standards
* Promote safety awareness among employees and contractors
* Provide input on site projects and ensure safe labour allocation

About you .

* Degree qualified in a related field or a minimum of trade certificate in mechanical/electrical.
* A minimum of 5 years management experience
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Confident in independent decision-making and timely issue resolution
* Effective workload organisation and time management
* Proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset
* Ability to prepare and manage multi-million-dollar budgets
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP systems
