Support Traditional Owners by monitoring and reporting on the compliance of non-financial obligations under Section 19 land use agreements.

About The Role

As the Contracts Compliance Officer, you'll play a key role in the effective administration and monitoring of land use agreements established under the NLC's statutory functions. You thrive in roles that require accuracy, accountability, and the ability to interpret obligations within a structured legislative and organisational framework.

You Will Bring

* Minimum of two (2) years practical experience with contract management.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other systems such as CRM or TRIM, or the ability to quickly learn new software.
* Current Northern Territory Driver's licence or ability to obtain one prior to commencement.
* Knowledge and understanding of the relevant legislation affecting Aboriginal land and sea management including the Aboriginal Land Rights (Northern Territory) Act 1976 (Cth.) and the Native Title Act 1993 (Cth.)

Why Join the NLC?

At the Northern Land Council you will contribute to ensuring that agreements relating to Aboriginal land are carried out lawfully, transparently, and in accordance with the expectations of Traditional Owners. Your role directly supports outcomes that safeguard cultural values, reinforce environmental responsibilities, and deliver meaningful benefits to Aboriginal communities across the Top End.

We Offer

* Base salary $83,099 per annum plus 15% superannuation
* Salary packaging up to $15,900 p.a. (plus meals and accommodation up to $2,650)
* District allowance: $4,884 (with dependent) or $2,678 (without dependent)
